With Every Christmas Card I Write...

Is there anything better for getting in the festive spirit than writing Christmas cards? Each card signifies a memory, a loved one, a chance to connect. In an age where communication is so fast, impersonal and forgotten, a hand-written card leaves the recipient with a glow of happiness. That’s why bespoke greetings cards are included with the Christmas Signature Session - what a wonderful way to send good cheer.

Who makes the cards, you ask...

I am lucky enough to have stationery designer, Natalie, from Flamboyant Invites collaborating with me.

When I first met Natalie from Flamboyant Invites and saw her designs, I was blown away. The detail and creativity were astounding; it’s easy to see why she’s such a popular stationer with brides to be.

You can see for yourself, the end result from last year’s session was gorgeous!

I met Natalie for a cuppa to chat about the session, and asked a bit about her creative process.

Where do you find inspiration for your Christmas range?

My main inspiration is the beautiful Christmas portraits and the desire to show these off in a modern, yet classic card design. Letting the fabulous festive backdrop specially created for the shoot bring all the Christmas magic to your family and friends, with just a hint of graphic design for that elegant touch.

What do you love about what you do?

I have a passion for all things paper and printing! For me, happiness is also about connecting with my creativity and sharing this with others. It is always an amazing feeling to create something uniquely personal, and which clients really love.

What do you think makes stationery and cards special?

There is still something really special about receiving a Christmas card through the post. Sometimes it is the only time of the year that we truly take the time to sit down and write to our nearest and dearest. As part of your Christmas Signature Session package, you will receive a set of uniquely personal Christmas cards, created with your favourite photo, which will delight your family and friends and take pride of place on the mantelpiece.

What’s been one of your most memorable projects?

I may be biased, but I think being a stationer is one of the best jobs in the world because it’s all about life’s celebrations and most memorable events, such as weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, a new baby and other special occasions. So in a sense, you could say that all my projects are memorable because my personalised invitations and stationery form a part of these celebrations. This is both a pleasure and a privilege.

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

My favourite thing about Christmas is going out as a family to select our tree and decorating it with fairy lights and all of our favourite decorations from years gone by. I love the smell of the pine in our living room, which we enjoy for many weeks before recycling it into firewood for the wood burner.

You can see how talented Natalie is by checking out her website flamboyantinvites.com, or experience it firsthand when you book a Christmas Signature Session. Places are VERY limited now (two spaces left!), so don’t delay!
